During signup, you will upload a few documents so we can verify your identity, residence and driving eligibility. Depending on your country of origin, we may require an official translation or additional supporting documents.

Once approved, you can access a vehicle without adding another complicated process to your move.

2. Credit checks that work for newcomers.

Starting a new life in France often means starting from scratch financially too. You may not yet have a long local banking history or all the records expected by traditional finance and leasing providers.

MOCEAN uses a clear digital approval process. We consider the information and documents requested during your application, including proof of identity and income, and complete an evaluation de solvabilite (creditworthiness assessment) with our credit-check partner.

The process is designed to assess eligible newcomers using the information available today, rather than relying only on a long history in France. Approval remains subject to the required identity, fraud-prevention, affordability and eligibility checks.

3. Start driving with your existing licence.

Many expats can begin driving in France with their current licence, depending on where it was issued and their individual circumstances.

As part of your application, we will verify your driving eligibility. Depending on your country of origin, we may require a certified translation, an International Driving Permit or additional documentation.

Our verification process will guide you through what is needed for your subscription.

If you later need to exchange your licence for a permis de conduire francais (French driving licence), it remains your responsibility to complete the relevant steps and stay compliant with French rules.

Your subscription approval depends on licence validity, insurance eligibility and successful identity verification.

4. One monthly payment. Fewer surprises.

Your MOCEAN car subscription brings the essential costs of driving together in one clear monthly price.

Your vehicle is registered and insured, while scheduled maintenance and roadside assistance are included in line with the applicable Terms and Conditions.

MOCEAN also handles the routine vehicle administration that would otherwise sit on your to-do list.

Any optional services or additional charges relating to misuse, missed appointments, excessive wear or other exceptions are set out clearly in your contract.

It is straightforward driving with a predictable monthly payment. You simply cover fuel or charging and any other costs specifically excluded by your agreement.
